Initially launched in 2009 with the Broadway musical Memphis, INSPIRE CHANGE is an innovative arts program that partners with commercial theater productions to provide schools and communities across the tri-state area with high-impact educational experiences. INSPIRE CHANGE’s programming is developed in tandem with productions, drawing on and contributing to their research and artistry, in order to create the most effective tools to educate communities, foster dialogue, and inspire change.
INSPIRE CHANGE is a 501(c)(3) organization through Fractured Atlas in New York City.
Through the support of generous donors, our custom programs have been able to subsidize the cost of:
- - Tickets to Broadway shows for students and teachers
- Round-trip transportation for students and teachers
- Pre and Post Performance workshops with INSPIRE CHANGE teaching artists
- Full "common core"-aligned resource guide
- Post-Performance Talkbacks
INSPIRE CHANGE programming has supported productions of MEMPHIS the Musical and ALLEGIANCE the Musical during their Broadway runs, National Tours and/or in conjunction with the screening of the film versions of productions.
